What does this objective mean?

Designing lessons which effectively differentiate instruction is a vital importance in any classroom. Each student is different and has different needs that need to be met in order for that student to learn, succeed, and grow. Differentiating instruction as well as course content allows for personal and academic achievement. 

Why is this objective important to teachers?

 This objective is important to teachers because in order to be a great, successful teacher you need to approach you students individually. Each student learns differently and moves at their own pace. By changing the content or instruction it allows the information to be more presentable and comprehensible for every student.
