What does this objective mean?

This objective addresses the very important concept that each student is different and has individual needs. Classrooms are a very diverse community already, but when you break it down to the learning needs of each individual student the diversity grows. 

As a teacher you need to be able to work with every one of your students and help them find success. Through taking the time to learn about your students you can help their academic performance by personally accommodating to their individual needs.

Why is this objective important to teachers?

It is imperative that as an educator you try your best to meet every student’s needs in order to help them learn and grow as a person. If teachers are unable to accomplish this then their classroom will begin to divide and their students will fall behind. By accepting the diverse needs of each student you can help the student find their way back to the path to academic success.
