Virginia Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance State Conference:

During the 2015-2016 academic school year I, alongside my classmates and professors got the opportunity to present at the annual VAHPERD State Conference. We created multiple, original Initiative Games that aimed to challenge kids, while incorporating brainstorming and teamwork opportunities.

The idea was to create a non-traditional initiative game that helped develop students' critical thinking and problem solving skills. Initiative games are instances that present a problem to be solved through cooperation, physical effort, and cognitive function.

We had the privilege to present these games, as a class to the audience of professionals and health educators at the conference and later, our professor had our work published in a popular Professional Journal called Strategies: A Journal for Physical and Sports Educators. Volume 29, 2016. Issue 3.
