My teaching portfolio is organized by the goals of the Roanoke College Philsophy for Education; namely, the study of education includes three major focus points: content, pedagogy, and practice.
The area of "Content" refers to the specific material either covered in my major course of study, or taught directly in the classroom. For example, one sub-goal asks me to determine how my History major will support best teaching practices.
"Pedagogy" and "Practice" refer to how I will directly teach, including lesson plans, reliance on state and national standards, assessment, classroom management, technology implementation, and differentiatio
The Roanoke College goals for each section are listed at the front page of the tab. Each sub-goal includes a definition and an explanation of its importance, as well as links to examples from my internships, college courses, and student teaching.
