Example from my Differentiated Language Arts class:

The following is a lesson I designed for my Differentiated Language Arts class; it includes all of the elements of differentiation, as well as cooperative learning strategies. For example, students are placed in groups of different numbers- the higher the group, the fewer the number of members. Different groups also completed activities of varying depth, so the teacher could check for understanding from every ability level. I think this activity would be successful in an unleveled class because it is differentiated enough to accommodate all learners, while still allowing the teacher a measure of control and upholding the continuity of the material.
